George Thorn, President and Founder
began his real estate career in 1970 with Grubb & Ellis in the
San Fransico Bay Area, becoming the regional manager in Denver in
1973. In 1977, Mr. Thorn founded Victorio Realty Group, a regional
real estate development company, which later evolved into Mile High
Development LLC. Mile High Development has been the developer of
Colorado Center, a major mixed-use project located in central Denver.
Today, Mile High Development is focused on various mixed-use development opportunities
at existing or proposed light rail stations along the southeast
I-25 corridor. MHD has the ability to work in a complex political
environment to maximize these opportunities by working closely with
land owners, the City & County of Denver, the Regional Transportation
District (RTD), Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), and
other governmental entities.
Mr. Thorn received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from
the University of Arizona in 1967. He is a member of the International
Council of Shopping Centers (“ICSC”), the Urban Land Institute (“ULI”),
and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties
(“NAIOP”), having served on the NAIOP Board of Directors. He is a
former Denver Urban Renewal Authority (“DURA”) commissioner and
served as Chair of Downtown Denver, Inc., in 2002 & 2003, and Chair of
the Downtown Denver Partnership in 2004.

Lynn Crist, Executive Vice President
began her real estate career in Denver in the mid 1980's as a commercial
real estate appraiser with a large local appraisal firm, Ginther Wycoff. She
subsequently achieved the designation of Member of Appraisal Institute
(MAl) and ran her own appraisal company in Denver serving local and
national clients. In 1993 she joined Bank One as a review appraiser and
helped finance numerous acquisition and development loans. She then
joined a conduit in Boulder, CapSource, where she underwrote loans for
Conti, an investment-banking firm in New York City. Ms. Crist joined
Mile High Properties in 1998 as an underwriter for an exclusive lending
relationship with Prudential. In 1999, she joined Mile High Development
as a project manager assisting in the analysis of potential and on-going
development opportunities.
Ms. Crist has an MBA in Finance and Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Finance
from the University of Denver. She has the MAI designation from
the Appraisal Institute and is a former board member of Commercial
Real Estate Women (CREW). She is currently the Vice President of
the Bonnie Brae Neighborhood Association.
