The site was sold by the Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority (FRA)
and is part of the 577-acre former Fitzsimons Army Medical Center
now being redeveloped into a $4 billion “life sciences city”. Fitzsimons
is the largest medical-related redevelopment project in the U.S.
The workforce at Fitzsimons is projected to reach 5,000 by the end
of 2007, and to exceed 30,000 at completion.
UPI is a full service management organization responsible for
the administration of all professional clinical activities of
physicians employed by the University of Colorado School of
Medicine. UPI has evolved over the years to function as the
manager of a multi-specialty medical group practice providing
a single point of contracting and marketing for all of the
School of Medicine’s clinical programs.
The project was a joint development of Mile Hile Development and Opus Northwest.
